Mardi Gras Party Supplies
And, do not forget the King Cake.
Mam Papaul's Famous New Orleans Mardi Gras King Cake Mix with Praline Filling
The King Cake is eaten starting January 6 and ending Mardi Gras Day. Parties are held featuring the cake, with a small plastic doll hidden within. The finder of the doll may be expected to ost the next party, or in the case of a cake for an office, bring the next cake in.
It is called King Cake after the three kings who sought Jesus after his birth, and the doll represents Jesus.
The colors are those of Mardi Gras, purple, green, and gold.
Often colorized sugar is used, and a white icing may be drizzled on the cake. Cakes may be plain, or filled with a number of different fillings.
